The Puma

Completed Shell (Price coming Soon)

The Puma is a stunning timber frame home inspired by the classic monitor barn style, blending rustic heritage with bold architectural lines and expansive natural light. The raised central roofline increases usable volume and introduces a continuous clerestory band, improving daylight penetration without excessive glazing at grade. The frame is expressed externally and carried directly to grade, with posts bearing continuously to the foundation. This avoids the “applied timber” look and makes the structure legible: primary posts, tie beams, and braces define the load path and the architecture at the same time.

Design Intent

The geometry is straightforward: a dominant central volume with lower flanking rooflines. This simplifies fabrication and erection while still delivering a strong architectural identity. Window placement is deliberate—larger openings at living areas, controlled glazing elsewhere—to manage heat loss in colder climates while maintaining connection to the exterior.

What else do I need in place for you to install this on my property?

A foundation needs to be ready. One option for this is a concrete pad. Or you can install concrete piles, or screw piles to place the beams in. If you want us to install this then request a quote.

If you have custom requests we can do that too.
